hope street spring block party VENDOR APPLICATION

Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 11am to 5pm

(Rain Date of September 15th, 2024)

The Hope Street Summer Block Party is BACK and is again being organized by Ampersand Creative Co., the team behind The Good Trade Makers Market, Little City Thrifty, RI VegFest, GFree Fest (and partners in Bloom Flower and Home).

Applications are now open, and we’re looking for food trucks, pop-up restaurants, makers, artists, pop-up retail shops, and more to fill Providence’s famed Hope Street on Sunday, August 4th (with a rain date of Sunday, September 15th, 2024).

If you are a performer (and not a vendor), please direct your inquiries to hello@ampersandcreativeco.com.

We strive to create a diverse and eclectic group of vendors. This is a curated event and we'll only be able to accept a limited number of vendors from each category due to space restrictions.

Please read all of the event information below before applying.

  • The Hope Street Spring Block Party will take place on Hope Street in Providence between Rochambeau and 5th Street on August 4, 2024.

  • The rain date for this event is Sunday, September 15th, 2024.

  • The event will run from 11am to 5pm.

  • This is a family friendly outdoor event. Hope Street in Providence will be closed to traffic between Rochambeau and 5th Street. The Hope Street Block Party features food and beverages, live music, street performers, and small business vendors.

  • Load in will start for vendors at 8am and all vendors must be broken down and packed up by 7pm as the city will reopen the street at that time.

  • Vendor fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Fees will be paid directly to the Hope Street Merchants Association and are as follows:

    • Food trucks, restaurants, and pop-up restaurants - $250

    • Retailers - $175

    • Non-Profits - $125

  • We do not accept multi-level-marketing vendors for this event.

  • We cannot accept vendors who sell CBD or THC products due to insurance restrictions.

  • If you are using a tent, it must not be larger than 10'x10' and must be weighted down at all four corners with at least 30lbs of weight per leg (40lbs recommended) per city requirements.

  • Open flames/propane are not allowed inside tents.

  • Electricity will not be provided. Any generators or external power sources must be discussed with the organizers for review and approval, prior to the event. This includes HSMA members and Hope Street brick and mortar operators. Brick and mortar folks can likely run power to their tents from their shops, but can only be done so with organizer approval and adequate trip hazard prevention equipment.

  • All packaged or prepared food producers, restaurants, and food trucks must supply a valid Department of Health Certificate and an adequate Certificate of Insurance (COI) with a general liability policy of $1,000,000 or more. The COI must list Hope Street Merchants Association, The City of Providence, and Ampersand Creative LLC as additionally insured. This includes HSMA members and Hope Street brick and mortar operators.

  • Filling out the form below does not guarantee that you will be selected to participate. Spaces for HSMA members and Hope Street brick and mortars will be prioritized.
